Winter Garden, Florida The Daniels Road project, which started in 2004, will provide additional north-south roadway for motorists of west Orange County and the City of Winter Garden. This will be accomplished through .59 miles of 6-lane divided urban roadway. Lochrane was able to accommodate the needs of the client by providing preparation of complete construction documents, survey services as well as obtaining all the necessary permits to allow for construction of the project. The Daniels Road project is currently under construction by The Sembler Company. |

Jacksonville, Florida SR 10 milling and resurfacing began in February of 2003 and will provide a mile long stretch of four-lane capacity roadway that is ADA compliant with business and resident access. Lochrane facilitated various services including design, utility coordination, survey and post design services. During the early stages of design, concrete pavement was determined to be beneath the asphalt. The project evolved into full reconstruction to remove the concrete pavement. Full storm water treatment and facilities became necessary and permitting through the St. Johns River Water Management District. Lochrane was able to meet the needs of the client by maintaining close communication with the City of Jacksonville, FDOT Planning Office, and other parties. This project is expected to be completed in January of 2007.

East Orange County, Florida The Innovation Way Extension was started in 1999 and will provide another north-south roadway corridor for motorists in East Orange County. Additionally, it will provide access for the development of the International Corporate Park (ICP). This project is a public/private partnership between Orange County and ICP that will ultimately produce 4.81 miles of 4-lane urban divided roadway. Lochrane provided survey services, preparation of complete construction documents, project permitting, mitigation, and all the right-of-way required for the project. Extensive environmental permitting was required including wetland mitigation, as well as mitigation for the presence of the red-cockaded woodpecker and gopher tortoise. Plans for the Innovation Way Extension were completed in July 2003. Orange County was awarded a contract for construction of the project in August 2006, and construction should begin soon. |
Seminole County, Florida
Lake Drive is a project that started in 1995, and will allow for additional roadway capacity for motorists of Seminole County. Lochrane provided survey services, preliminary engineering and preparation of complete construction documents. The preliminary engineering included alternative alignments. The preferred alignment included re-alignment through a major landowner's property that offered donation of the right-of-way. The end result will be 2.7 miles of 4-lane divided urban roadway. Lochrane was able to please the client by obtaining all the necessary environmental permits to allow for construction of project by Seminole County. The Lake Drive Improvement Project is currently under construction by Seminole County. |
