The Lochrane team provided full land surveys, civil site design, off-site roadway design and all sitework permitting for this IKEA store recently opened in Orlando, Florida. This 308,924 square foot store is located at the upscale Millenia Mall situated across from Bloomingdale’s and Macy’s. Along with keeping close communication with the client, Lochrane interactively engaged in the day-to-day development initiatives to ensure the aggressive schedule remained on track throughout the design process. The Lochrane Civil Division began this project in March of 2006, working closely with IKEA’s prime consultant for this project - Greenberg Farrow & Associates. As only the 2nd IKEA store to open in the state of Florida, the Orlando market’s high anticipation and demand for this project was evident throughout the design and on its grand opening day. In anticipation of IKEA’s grand opening, excited customers lined up and camped outside days before the November 14, 2007 opening! Lochrane is also pleased to have worked once again with the Greenberg Farrow team on IKEA’s Tampa store, which just opened in 2009.
