Lochrane Moves to I-Phone Technology PDF Print E-mail
Monday, 15 September 2008 20:00

In a never ending stride to keep up with the latest in technology, Lochrane Engineering, Inc. of Orlando, Florida has stepped forward to adopt the Apple iPhone for its business communications. As of August 4, 2008 Lochrane Engineering migrated all its Blackberry Users and Blackberry Enterprise Server to the Apple iPhone 3G with Microsoft Exchange Server 2007® as it Email Engine.  Since then, Lochrane Manager are not looking back and are conducting business with the world at their fingertips.

Image Since its release in May 2008 the Apple iPhone 3G® has emerged itself into the Business Market with immense pressure in an attempt to knock out Blackberry and the other various Smartphones. However, the Apple iPhone 3G is in a genre of its own. Like the Blackberries, iPhone users are able to access their Email, Calendars, and Contacts wirelessly, but without the need of an expensive 3rd party or Middle Man application to make it all function.  Lochrane Engineering's IT Staff have noticed an increased speed in Synchronization in comparison to the Blackberries; therefore, iPhone users are now able to receive client email quicker and able to reply to clients on the fly.  Communication with clients is key in the Architectural, Engineering and Construction Industry, especially when the primary form of communication is strongly moving toward email. In addition, Managers are able to take project photos quickly and easily transmit them back to the design team immediately.

For Lochrane Engineering, training for all new iPhone Users was a snap, since the user interface of the iPhone is much more user friendly than that of the Blackberry.  Lochrane staff really warmed up to the iPhone quickly since it was easy to navigate around the iPhone's intuitive menu.

With the exploding and ongoing development of new Applications for the iPhone 3G, Lochrane Engineering looks forward to the future and all the rich features that Apple has to offer with the iPhone.
