Central Florida Commuter Rail Transit Corridor Project
Central Florida, FDOT District 5

This 61 mile project runs through the heart of Central Florida, from Poinciana to Deland and will consist of converting the existing railroad corridor into a Commuter Rail facility to help alleviate traffic congestion in Central Florida. Lochrane is the lead Survey Company working with Earthtech, the Prime Engineering firm.  We are performing Boundary and Design Surveys as well as coordinating eight (8) other survey firms involved in this effort.  Michael Cavalere, PSM is the Principal in Charge of the project and will be assisted by Dianne Jones, PSM, John Campbell, PSM and Tom Yocom, PSM. SR 50 from Turnpike to CR 545 (Avalon Rd); SR 50 from West of CR 545 (Avalon Rd) to SR 429; SR 50 from SR 429 to Good Homes Rd; and SR 50 from Good Homes Rd to Pine Hills Rd
Orange County, Florida, FDOT District 5

Lochrane is performing the surveying and mapping of four segments, totaling 12 miles of SR 50 in West Orange County from the Turnpike to Pine Hills Road. Lochrane is preparing Right of Way Maps and full Design surveys including the location of Utilities on these segments. Lochrane continues to meet schedule while closely coordinating with the Prime Engineers and FDOT Project Manager on all four segments.

SR 520 from US 1 (SR 5) to Forest Avenue
Brevard County, Florida, FDOT District 5

This 1 mile project through busy Cocoa Beach commercial area entailed the production of a Right of Way Maps and Design Survey, which included topographic features, subsurface utilities and drainage features. SUE services were required in this project that included Vvh location of utilities and drainage facilities.

SR 500 From Vine Street to Carroll Street
Kissimmee, Florida, FDOT District 5

Lochrane is carrying out design survey activities, including topography, drainage and utilities, along with establishing both the vertical and horizontal control networks to support roadway design for the intersection improvements at Vine Street, Donegan Avenue and Carroll Street in Kissimmee, Florida. Lochrane is also performing the right of way survey to support the development of Right of Way maps needed for additional right of way acquisition required at each of these intersections.

SR 35 from North of Lion Street to North of Northeast 110 Road
Sumter County, Florida, FDOT District 5

Lochrane is performing design survey activities, including topography, drainage and utilities, along with establishing a vertical control network to support roadway design for widening to four lanes of an existing 2-lane rural highway in Sumter County. This project consists of a full design survey to support the plans for a bridge replacement where SR 35 crosses the CSX railroad  which requires specific details of  the existing structure, piers, foundations and railroad tracks.

SR 35 from North of CR 42 to Begin 4-lanes
Marion County, Florida, FDOT District 5

Lochrane is executing design survey activities, which include topography, drainage and utilities in Marion County. The project also encompasses establishing a vertical control network to support roadway design for widening to four lanes of an existing 2-lane rural highway.

I-95 from North of SR 50 to North of SR 46
Brevard County, Florida, FDOT District 5

This project entails preparing a full design survey to take into account roadway widening on I-95 that includes two bridges. Lochrane is employing the seamless approach by providing Utility Location and Utility Coordination Services together.   

SR 438 (Silver Star Road) from Dillard Street to Clarke Road
Orange County, Florida, FDOT District 5

Lochrane is performing the advance right of way surveying and mapping for this project located in Orange County, Florida. This includes the preparation of a Control Survey and Right of Way Mapping.
